Dorado is a planning tool for high school students — course planning, career research, extracurricular and application tracking, and an AI assistant that can answer questions using your own data. These terms apply whenever you create an account or use the service.
You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian’s permission to use Dorado.
Dorado is a paid subscription, currently $10/month, with a two-week free trial for new subscribers. Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel — you can cancel anytime from Billing, and you’ll keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for. We don’t provide refunds for partial billing periods.
You agree not to:
The assistant is a planning aid, not a substitute for a school counselor, financial advisor, or admissions professional. It can be wrong. Decisions about your courses, applications, and finances are yours to make — treat its answers as a starting point, not the final word.
What you enter into Dorado is yours. See the Privacy Policyfor how it’s handled. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Account settings.
You can stop using Dorado and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Dorado is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We work to keep the service accurate and available, but we’re not liable for decisions made based on information in the app — including college admissions outcomes, financial outcomes, or missed deadlines. Nothing in Dorado is professional counseling, legal, or financial advice.
This section is intentionally incomplete. Where a dispute would be resolved (which state’s courts), and how (court vs. arbitration) are decisions we’re leaving for actual legal review rather than guessing at — arbitration clauses in particular are treated differently across states when the other party is a minor, so this isn’t a place to copy generic boilerplate.
If these terms change in a way that materially affects your use of Dorado, we’ll notify account holders before the change takes effect.
Questions about these terms can be sent to the email address listed on your billing receipt.
