Cedarville University is a conservative Baptist university in southwest Ohio where an explicitly Christian worldview and daily chapel requirements shape the entire undergraduate experience, not just a religious-studies department layered on top of a secular curriculum.
Unusually deep professional programs for a school of its type and size: engineering, nursing, and pharmacy are all well established, each taught alongside standard technical coursework within an explicitly Christian framework. Every student takes a Bible minor regardless of major, making biblical study a genuine academic requirement rather than an elective.
Daily chapel attendance and a conservative code of conduct anchor campus culture, and student life is built heavily around church involvement and ministry teams, giving the school a close, tightly knit Christian community rather than a secular college social scene.
Admission includes an expectation of a personal Christian faith commitment alongside academic review, and the university is upfront that it is not a fit for students uncomfortable with its conservative religious and behavioral expectations.
Engineering, nursing, and pharmacy graduates place well given the rigor of those programs, and many graduates go on to ministry, missions, or Christian-school teaching in addition to conventional professional careers; the alumni network is strongly tied to evangelical Christian institutions and churches nationally.
The combination of serious pre-professional programs with a strict conservative Christian campus culture is unusual; most schools with Cedarville's level of religious observance do not also offer this depth of technical and professional training.
RequiredNo specific high school subject-unit distribution published; admission requires a high school transcript (minimum six semesters of grades) evaluated alongside a required Christian Leader Recommendation -- no GPA or class-rank cutoff stated
