Criswell College is a small Baptist college in Dallas founded out of First Baptist Dallas by its longtime pastor, W. A. Criswell, and it remains closely tied to that congregation's conservative evangelical identity. Programs concentrate on biblical studies, theology, and ministry preparation, and the campus sits near downtown Dallas in proximity to First Baptist's own campus.
The college's founding by a single, nationally prominent pastor gives it a stronger institutional identity and doctrinal consistency than many similarly small Bible colleges — students and faculty are generally aligned with a specific, conservative Southern Baptist theological tradition rather than a broader, nondenominational evangelicalism.
