Davis College, in Johnson City, New York near Binghamton, is a small Bible college — known for decades as Practical Bible College — built around a biblical studies core that every student takes regardless of major. Programs in pastoral ministry, Christian education, missions, and related fields sit on top of that shared foundation, and the name change reflects an effort to broaden degree offerings beyond ministry alone while keeping Scripture at the center of the curriculum.
Every program requires substantial coursework in Bible and theology alongside a professional major, so a student studying business or counseling still completes a significant biblical-studies sequence. Class sizes are small enough for close contact with faculty who are often themselves ordained or credentialed ministers.
Chapel and spiritual-formation expectations run through campus life, and many students combine coursework with local church ministry placements during the school year rather than treating ministry experience as an internship added at the end.
