Concordia University-Wisconsin is a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod university in Mequon, just north of Milwaukee, set on a bluff above Lake Michigan with its own stretch of shoreline and bluff-top trails as a defining physical feature.
Nursing, pharmacy, and business are the strongest programs, and faith is integrated directly into coursework and campus expectations rather than confined to a religion department, consistent with the university's Lutheran identity.
The lakefront setting is a genuine daily-life feature, not just a marketing image, and Lutheran faith practice, including chapel, religion coursework, and church-affiliated traditions, runs through campus culture more than at a typical private university.
Admission is holistic, and while it doesn't require Lutheran affiliation, the university does look for comfort with its explicitly faith-integrated academic and campus culture.
Nursing and pharmacy graduates have well-established placement into Wisconsin and greater Milwaukee-area healthcare systems.
