The University of Tennessee Southern, in Pulaski, is the newest campus in the UT System, formed in 2021 when a small private college was absorbed into the system to serve rural southern Middle Tennessee. It is small, affordable, and built around access for a region with few nearby four-year options.
Programs concentrate in nursing, education, and business - practical majors aligned with regional workforce needs - taught in small classes typical of a campus still in its early growth as a UT institution.
As one of the newest and smallest campuses in the UT System, students should expect a much smaller scale and narrower program list than UT Knoxville or UT Chattanooga, with a mission focused specifically on regional access rather than research or a large residential experience.
RequiredNo specific high school course-unit distribution published; admission uses a GPA/ACT-SAT index instead (e.g. ACT 17+/SAT 920+ with 3.0 GPA, or ACT 18+/SAT 960+ with 2.5 GPA)
