Franklin Pierce University is a private university in Rindge, New Hampshire, on a campus overlooking a lake with Mount Monadnock in view, in a rural New England setting of lakes and forest. It is a small university serving a student body largely from New England and the Northeast.
Health sciences are Franklin Pierce's strongest suit, including graduate pathways into physical therapy and physician assistant programs that give undergraduates in pre-health tracks a clear route to continue at the same institution. Business and communications are the other programs with real recognition.
Division II athletics are prominent in campus social life, giving the school a livelier athletic culture than its small size might suggest. The lakeside, mountain-view setting supports outdoor recreation, and the rural location means campus life is largely self-contained rather than built around a nearby city.
Admissions is accessible rather than highly selective, with health-science applicants sometimes weighed with an eye toward eventual progression into the university's own PT or PA graduate programs.
The direct undergraduate-to-graduate pipeline in physical therapy and physician assistant studies is a real structural advantage for students who already know they want one of those careers, offering a known path at one institution rather than needing to apply out.
