Kutztown University is a public university in Pennsylvania's Dutch country, between Reading and Allentown, and part of Pennsylvania's state system of regional universities.
Art and design is Kutztown's most distinctive strength, with a reputation among Pennsylvania's state universities that stands out relative to its size; education and business round out its other established programs.
The campus has a traditional small-town, residential character, set in farm country within a reasonable drive of Philadelphia, giving students a quiet setting with a city option not too far away.
Admission is accessible and largely credential-based, consistent with its role within Pennsylvania's state university system.
