Colorado Christian University, in Lakewood just outside Denver, is an evangelical, nondenominational Christian university where faith integration runs through both the curriculum and campus life. Alongside a traditional undergraduate college, CCU operates a large adult-completion and online division, giving the university a dual identity as both a residential Christian college and an adult-education provider.
The undergraduate curriculum requires coursework in Christian worldview and biblical studies across majors, a structure central to CCU's identity. Business, education, and ministry-related programs are common undergraduate paths, generally taught in the smaller classes typical of a college its size.
The Lakewood location puts the Front Range foothills minutes from campus, and outdoor recreation is a natural extension of student life given the setting. Chapel attendance and other faith-based expectations are part of the residential undergraduate experience, distinguishing it from the online adult-education side of the university.
Admission includes an expectation of alignment with the university's statement of faith alongside academic review, a step distinct from secular private colleges' processes.
CCU's traditional undergraduate college and its adult/online division are functionally separate experiences under one name — a prospective traditional student should focus on the residential college's own culture and offerings rather than the larger enrollment the online division contributes.
