The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is OU's academic health campus in Oklahoma City, distinct from the main Norman campus, and functions as the university's hub for training students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, allied health, and public health.
Most of the campus's programs are graduate or professional in nature — medical school, dental school, pharmacy, and the like — with undergraduate offerings concentrated in nursing and allied-health fields. Students in these programs train directly alongside the state's major academic medical complex, giving them clinical exposure most standalone undergraduate nursing programs cannot offer at the same scale.
Prospective applicants should understand this is primarily a graduate and professional health-sciences campus rather than a traditional four-year undergraduate university — the undergraduate population here is much smaller and narrower in focus than at OU's Norman campus, concentrated almost entirely in nursing and allied health.
