Antioch University Santa Barbara is a small campus within the nonprofit Antioch University system, built for adult and transfer students rather than students coming directly from high school. Like its sister Antioch campuses, it carries a progressive, social-justice-oriented mission and offers flexible, often evening or hybrid scheduling in fields such as psychology, liberal studies, and education, aimed at students balancing coursework with jobs or family responsibilities.
There is little of a traditional residential campus experience here - no dorms, a small commuter-scale student body - and the Antioch system's social-justice orientation shows up directly in coursework and program framing, particularly in psychology and education, rather than as a peripheral theme.
