Regis College is a Catholic university in Weston, Massachusetts, in Boston's western suburbs, founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Once a women's college, it is now coeducational and has built its identity around health care education, drawing on Boston's dense concentration of hospitals and health systems.
Nursing is the defining program, with pathways that carry students from undergraduate study toward advanced-practice degrees, alongside programs in other allied health fields. Class sizes stay small, and clinical placements put students inside real hospital and clinical settings across greater Boston rather than only in campus labs.
The Weston campus is suburban and compact, a short distance from Boston proper, giving students access to the city's hospitals, cultural institutions, and job market without an urban campus's density. Catholic identity and the founding sisters' mission still shape campus culture, though the student body reflects a range of religious backgrounds.
Regis evaluates applicants holistically, with particular attention to genuine interest in health care fields and readiness for a rigorous, clinically oriented curriculum.
Graduates move heavily into nursing and health care roles, aided by name recognition with Boston-area hospital systems built through years of clinical placement and hiring relationships.
The nursing pipeline, including accelerated and graduate-entry pathways, is the main reason most students choose Regis; students in other majors are a smaller share of campus life.
