Overview

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is a Southern Baptist seminary in Kansas City, whose undergraduate arm, Spurgeon College, prepares students for ministry, missions, and Christian leadership rather than offering a broad liberal-arts catalog.

Academics

The curriculum centers on biblical studies and theology, with coursework built to prepare students for pastoral ministry, missions work, or further seminary study rather than a general professional or academic track.

Worth knowing

Students considering Spurgeon College should understand it as a ministry-preparation program housed within a seminary, with a campus culture organized around that purpose rather than around a conventional undergraduate experience.
