Manhattan Christian College sits directly adjacent to Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, and trains students for ministry within the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ tradition. Its defining feature is geography: sitting next to a large public university, rather than standing alone in a small college town, gives it an option most Bible colleges of its size cannot offer.
Because of the K-State proximity, students get access to a large Big 12 university's athletics, facilities, and broader student life while still living within a small, close-knit Christian community centered at Manhattan Christian — a combination not available at a freestanding Bible college in a smaller or more isolated town.
Students can pursue a Bible or ministry degree at Manhattan Christian while cross-enrolling at Kansas State, effectively pairing biblical training with a K-State major — education, engineering, pre-med, or any number of other fields. That supports a "tentmaking" ministry model, in which a graduate's ministry work is paired with a marketable secular skill, and it is an unusual dual-track arrangement for a school this small to offer as a matter of course rather than a special exception.
