National University of Health Sciences, in Lombard, Illinois, is a health-sciences institution focused on complementary and integrative medicine. It is best known for chiropractic medicine, alongside smaller programs in naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, and Oriental medicine, and has long stood among the more academically oriented chiropractic-focused schools in its field.
Nearly all programs are graduate-level professional degrees built around clinical training in the university's own teaching clinics, where students see real patients under supervision well before graduation. The undergraduate side is limited to a small biomedical-science completion program, mainly serving students headed toward one of the university's own graduate health programs or another health-professional school.
This is a professional health-sciences campus rather than a traditional college — there is essentially no undergraduate residential life or general-education breadth, and prospective students should think of it as a pipeline into a specific licensed health profession rather than a four-year college experience.
