Overview

Heritage Christian University is a small institution in Florence, Alabama, affiliated with the Churches of Christ and centered on Bible, ministry, and missions preparation. A significant share of its enrollment studies online rather than on the physical campus, reflecting a student body that includes working ministers and church leaders completing formal training around existing pulpit or mission responsibilities rather than traditional first-time college students.

Worth knowing

Because much of the program is delivered online and many students are already serving in ministry roles, the school functions as much as a continuing-education and credentialing pathway for active church leaders as it does a traditional undergraduate experience. Its Churches of Christ affiliation shapes the theological perspective across its Bible and ministry coursework.
