Kentucky Mountain Bible College, in Vancleve, Kentucky, is a small Wesleyan-holiness Bible college set deep in rural Appalachian Kentucky, training students for pastoral ministry, missions, and other forms of Christian service. Its size and remote mountain setting make it a deliberately small, tightly structured environment rather than a typical college campus, and it grew out of a longstanding regional Christian ministry presence in the area rather than starting as a standalone college.
The Appalachian mountain setting is isolated by design, far from a city or even a mid-sized town, and campus life is correspondingly self-contained — most social, spiritual, and recreational activity happens on or immediately around campus rather than in a surrounding college town. Students should expect a rural, close-knit community with limited outside distraction rather than the amenities of an urban or suburban campus.
As a holiness-tradition Bible college, expectations around lifestyle, dress, and daily conduct tend to be more defined than at a typical Christian college, consistent with the Wesleyan-holiness emphasis on personal sanctification. This is a fit specifically for students seeking a conservative, structured, ministry-focused environment rather than a general Christian liberal arts experience.
