Overview

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, is the Southern Baptist Convention's flagship seminary; its undergraduate college, Boyce College, prepares students for ministry, missions, and Christian worldview-centered study rather than a general secular curriculum.

Academics

Boyce College's curriculum combines biblical and theological study with more conventional majors, all taught within a framework oriented toward vocational ministry preparation and Southern Baptist doctrine.

Getting in

Applicants affirm the seminary's confessional statement as part of admission, and the process is built around discerning fit with vocational ministry rather than general academic criteria alone.

Worth knowing

This suits students committed to vocational ministry in the Baptist tradition specifically, not students seeking a general university experience.
