D'Youville University sits on Buffalo's West Side and has built its identity almost entirely around the health professions, with Catholic heritage in its founding but a curriculum now dominated by clinical and health science degrees.
Nursing is the anchor program, and the university has expanded into pharmacy, chiropractic, and occupational and physical therapy — an unusually broad spread of health disciplines for a school of its size, including chiropractic, which few comparable institutions offer at all. Many programs offer direct-entry pathways that let admitted undergraduates move into the university's own graduate health programs without a separate application process.
The direct-entry pipelines into D'Youville's own graduate programs are a real practical advantage for students who know early on which health field they want, letting them lock in a graduate seat while still in undergraduate study. The chiropractic program in particular is uncommon nationally.
