Kentucky Christian University is a small university in Grayson, Kentucky, in the hills of the eastern part of the state, affiliated with the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ tradition. Ministry and Bible study sit at the center of its identity, alongside professional programs such as nursing and education that serve the surrounding Appalachian region.
The Bible and ministry programs form the historic core of the curriculum, training students for pastoral and missionary work, while nursing and education degrees give the school a practical, regional-workforce orientation. Class sizes are small across the board, with close contact between students and faculty.
The campus is rural and small, set in the Appalachian foothills of eastern Kentucky. Chapel and campus ministry are woven into daily life, and the small enrollment makes for a close-knit community where students across different programs tend to know each other.
