Concordia University Texas is a Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod university on a nature-preserve campus in northwest Austin. It offers a faith-integrated, small-class educational approach inside one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the country.
Business, education, nursing, and behavioral sciences are the university's core programs, taught with the small class sizes typical of LCMS-affiliated institutions. The Austin location gives health-sciences and business students access to a large and growing job market for clinical placements and internships.
The campus itself sits on preserved natural land, giving it a quieter, more wooded feel than its Austin address might suggest, while the city's tech and music economy is a short drive away. Chapel and campus ministry are part of student life without dominating it.
Concordia Texas admits most applicants who meet baseline academic requirements, with less emphasis on essays or interviews than at more selective private colleges; fit with the university's Lutheran mission is part of the conversation for some programs.
Prospective students should know this is a faith-based campus with chapel or religion coursework components typical of LCMS schools, even though the university enrolls and welcomes students of all backgrounds.
