Overview

Trevecca Nazarene University is a Church of the Nazarene-affiliated university in Nashville, Tennessee, combining an explicitly Christian campus culture with the advantages of a Music City location.

Academics

Music and worship arts are natural strengths given the Nashville setting, drawing students specifically for that combination of faith and musical training. Ministry and education are also established programs, and Trevecca has built a fast-growing set of adult and online degree-completion programs alongside its traditional undergraduate offerings.

Campus & student life

The Nashville location gives students access to the city's music industry and broader job market, an unusual asset for a university of this size and religious affiliation. Chapel and faith-based programming are regular parts of campus life, reflecting the Nazarene affiliation.

Getting in

Admission review is holistic, and applicants are generally expected to be comfortable with an explicitly Christian, Wesleyan-Holiness campus culture. Music and worship arts applicants typically go through an audition process alongside standard admission.

Worth knowing

The Nashville location is a genuine draw for music and worship-arts students specifically, giving direct access to the city's music industry infrastructure in a way few other Nazarene-affiliated universities can offer. The adult and online program network has grown to be a significant part of the university's overall enrollment.
