Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri, exists specifically to train ministers, missionaries, and church leaders for congregations in the Christian churches and churches of Christ movement, rather than to offer a general undergraduate education.
Degree programs center on Bible, theology, ministry, and missions, with coursework built around scripture and practical ministry preparation rather than a broad liberal-arts distribution. Many students combine classroom study with hands-on ministry placements during their time at the college.
Because Ozark Christian College's mission is explicitly vocational — training people for ministry — students should expect required Bible and theology coursework every semester and a campus culture organized around church life, chapel, and ministry practicum rather than a secular college experience.
