Reinhardt University is a United Methodist-affiliated university in Waleska, Georgia, in the Appalachian foothills north of Atlanta. It is small and residential, serving primarily students from north Georgia, and combines a traditional liberal-arts base with career-oriented programs.
Education, business, and music are the most established and popular programs, with music carrying a stronger reputation than is typical for a university this size. Class sizes are small, consistent with a close, teaching-focused campus culture.
The Waleska setting is rural and quiet, in the foothills north of Atlanta, giving students a small-town, residential college experience while remaining within reach of the Atlanta metro area for internships and outside activities.
Reinhardt draws heavily from north Georgia specifically, giving it a strong regional identity and a student body that is less geographically diverse than at larger Georgia universities.
