Toccoa Falls College is a small Christian college in the Appalachian foothills of northeast Georgia, named for the 186-foot waterfall on its own campus, one of the tallest east of the Mississippi. Rooted in the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination, the college's mission centers on preparing students for ministry, missions, and Christian service, and that focus shapes campus life as much as the classroom.
The college is best known for its Bible and ministry programs, along with intercultural studies/missions and communication, all taught within a required core of biblical and theological coursework alongside the major. Class sizes are small, in keeping with a school built around vocational preparation for ministry.
The waterfall and surrounding mountain terrain give Toccoa Falls an outdoors-oriented, rural character, and the campus community is close-knit and residential. Chapel attendance and spiritual formation are built into the rhythm of student life, reflecting the school's denominational roots.
Applicants are typically evaluated for fit with the college's evangelical Christian mission alongside academic record, and many arrive already committed to ministry, missions, or a related vocational path.
Toccoa Falls requires a statement of faith and chapel participation as part of its Christian formation model, so the religious dimension of the college is a daily, not incidental, part of student life.
