Regis University is a Jesuit Catholic university in northwest Denver, with views toward the Front Range, combining a traditional undergraduate college with a large population of adult and online learners in accelerated programs. The Jesuit tradition of reflection and social justice runs through both sides of the university.
Nursing and other health professions are Regis's most visible undergraduate strengths, alongside business, supported by a Jesuit core curriculum that requires philosophy, theology, and reflection courses regardless of major. Service-learning is built into the curriculum rather than offered as an extracurricular option, consistent with the Jesuit emphasis on faith and justice together.
The Denver location gives students access to a major city while the campus itself maintains a quieter, contemplative character consistent with its Jesuit identity; the traditional undergraduate population is smaller relative to the university's overall size given how many students are enrolled in its adult and online divisions.
Regis reviews applications holistically, and its accelerated adult-learner programs have separate, more flexible admission pathways than the traditional undergraduate college.
Prospective students should be clear about which part of Regis they're applying to — the traditional residential undergraduate college has a different feel and structure than the university's larger adult-and-online population, even though both carry the same Jesuit mission.
