Northeastern University Professional Programs is the university's division for working professionals and adult learners, distinct from Northeastern's traditional residential undergraduate college. It offers part-time, evening, and online formats, including bachelor's-completion degrees for students returning to finish an interrupted degree, built around the same experiential-learning philosophy Northeastern is known for.
Programs are designed around the schedules of working adults, with applied, career-relevant coursework rather than a traditional residential curriculum. Bachelor's-completion tracks let students transfer in substantial prior credit and finish a degree while continuing to work, and Northeastern's cooperative-education tradition informs how coursework connects to job experience.
This is not the residential, campus-based Northeastern experience most applicants picture. Students enroll for flexible scheduling and credit transfer rather than dorm life or traditional undergraduate activities, and coursework is delivered largely online or in the evenings to accommodate full-time work.
RequiredBachelor's-completion / adult professional-studies admission: official high school transcript, GED, or associate degree transcript required; no specific high school course-unit distribution published
