Overview
Southern Wesleyan University is the Wesleyan Church's university for the Southeast, located in Central, South Carolina, a short drive from Clemson. It combines a faith-centered residential undergraduate campus with a substantial online program for working adults.
Academics
Education, business, and ministry are the core residential undergraduate programs, taught within an explicitly Christian framework. The university's online degree programs serve a separate, largely adult-learner population pursuing degree completion or career-change credentials.
Campus & student life
The small-town Central, South Carolina setting keeps campus life close-knit, with proximity to Clemson giving access to a larger college-town economy nearby without the residential campus itself being large.
Worth knowing
Southern Wesleyan effectively runs two different student experiences under one name - a traditional residential Christian college for its undergraduates, and a working-adult online division - and prospective students should be clear about which one they are evaluating.
