Kuyper College is a small Reformed Christian college in Grand Rapids, Michigan, named for the Dutch theologian and statesman Abraham Kuyper. It sits within West Michigan's dense concentration of Reformed and Christian Reformed churches, colleges, and institutions, and its curriculum is organized around a Reformed, worldview-centered approach to Christian higher education rather than a narrower, ministry-only focus.
Programs extend beyond pastoral ministry into social work, business, and youth or family ministry, all taught through a shared foundation in Reformed theology and worldview studies — the idea being that a graduate going into social work or business still reasons about that field through a distinctly Christian, Reformed lens. Class sizes are small, and the college relies on close faculty relationships rather than large lecture instruction.
Grand Rapids' broader Reformed and evangelical institutional presence — churches, publishers, and other Christian colleges — gives Kuyper students a denser surrounding community than a similarly small Bible college would have in a more isolated location, even though the campus itself remains compact.
