ASU Digital Immersion is Arizona State University's fully online campus, delivering the same ASU degrees to students who never set foot in Tempe. It applies ASU's institutional focus on access and scale to a remote-only format, treating online delivery as a serious, fully resourced alternative to the physical campus rather than a stripped-down version of it.
Programs span much of the same broad catalog as ASU's in-person campuses, taught by the same faculty, with heavy investment in the online course design, advising, and student-support infrastructure needed to make that work well at scale. Flexibility and a self-paced structure are central to how courses are built, letting students move through material on a schedule that fits work or family obligations.
Admissions criteria generally mirror ASU's broader access-oriented approach; the online format itself, rather than a separate essay culture or selectivity tier, is the main differentiator from applying to the residential campus.
Because there is no campus experience, students considering this option should be clear that they're choosing a degree-completion pathway rather than the traditional college experience ASU offers in Tempe. It tends to suit working adults, transfer students, and those who already know they learn well independently, more than a student looking for a first-time residential college experience.
