The Virginia Governor's School for Agriculture is a three-week residential summer program at Virginia Tech (June 20-July 11, 2026) for the Commonwealth's most academically able rising juniors and seniors. Scholars work with Virginia Tech faculty and researchers across the agricultural sciences. Students don't apply directly — their school or county submits a nomination to the Virginia Department of Education on the student's behalf, so ask your school counselor or gifted-education coordinator to begin the process. Program cost isn't published on Virginia Tech's page; confirm current cost details with your counselor or VDOE.
