A five-student team competition testing environmental science knowledge — soils, aquatics, forestry, wildlife, and a current issue — at hands-on outdoor testing stations. You compete through your state or provincial Envirothon program (registration and fees are handled at the team/school level and vary by state); winning teams advance to the North American NCF-Envirothon final. Top teams have shared roughly $50,000 in scholarships and prizes in recent years, including a $30,000 pool for the top three teams.
