Project TRUE (Teens Researching Urban Ecology), run by the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo education team with Fordham University, has Bronx sophomores and juniors conduct real field research across New York City, from mammal distribution and bird communities to water quality and invasive species. Small teams work with a Fordham undergraduate near-peer mentor and WCS staff, then present findings to scientists and the public. The summer program runs June through August, with research continuing on Saturdays in the fall; alumni join WCS's Youth Network and the NYC Science Research Mentoring Consortium.
