HOBY's State Leadership Seminars bring one nominated sophomore per participating high school, plus students nominated directly through HOBY's community nomination program, to a college campus for three to four days of leadership training built around personal, group, and service leadership. Students commit to a follow-on goal of 100 hours of community service. Registration fees, which run roughly $225-$450 depending on the state affiliate, are usually covered by the sponsoring school rather than paid directly by the family.
