FAST is a no-cost, overnight fly-in for high-achieving high school seniors passionate about STEM, aimed at students from groups historically underrepresented in the field: women, Black, Indigenous, and Latinx students, students from low-income or rural backgrounds, students with disabilities, and first-generation students. Harvey Mudd covers flights and lodging (or mileage reimbursement for students within 150 miles) and all meals, and participants explore STEM leadership, the admission process, student life, and research opportunities, plus receive a fee waiver for the first-year application.
