Zero Robotics has high school teams program NASA robotic hardware (historically SPHERES satellites, more recently Astrobee and other devices) to complete a mission theme set each year. Teams compete through online simulation rounds each fall/winter; the top alliances advance to a live final where the winning code runs on the real hardware aboard the International Space Station, judged live at MIT or by webcast.
