Sewanee Young Writers' Conference: Winterim (University of the South)

Winterim is Sewanee's midyear, mostly-asynchronous online writing program: students work in fiction or poetry over six weeks, using Google Classroom with optional Zoom sessions, receiving video lectures and instructor feedback and exchanging workshop critiques with peers worldwide. Applicants submit a writing sample and a personal statement; admission opens on a rolling basis each September. It is considerably cheaper than Sewanee's residential summer conference, and the Elizabeth Grammer Scholarship is available to help with cost.
