A multi-round astronomy and astrophysics exam, starting with a First Round exam proctored in person at your school by a teacher, that selects the U.S. team for the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA). Any student can take the First Round exam. Registration costs $30 per student ($20 if five or more from your school register), and financial aid is available for students who can't pay. Top scorers advance through the National Assessment Competition and a final exam; only U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are high school students can represent the U.S. at IOAA.
