MD Anderson Cancer Center's High School Summer Program places up to six Texas high school seniors into a faculty-led biomedical research lab for ten weeks (nine weeks for students graduating after May 31), working alongside faculty with seminars and a closing presentation. Selected students receive a $7,200 stipend (prorated to $6,480 for nine weeks), though they arrange their own housing, transportation, and most meals. Applicants must be Texas high school seniors turning 18 by the program start, graduating that spring, and already admitted to college for the fall. The 2026 program ran June 1-August 7 with applications due January 14, 2026 (now closed); check back in October for 2027 program details.
