National History Bee and Bowl
Competition · International Academic Competitions (IAC)The Bee is an individual, elimination-style buzzer quiz on history; the Bowl is a four-player team event played in a quarter format, with single-player teams allowed. High schoolers compete in Varsity (grades 11-12) or Junior Varsity (grade 10 and under) divisions at regional tournaments held in person or online from late October through early April, before the National Championships in Arlington, Virginia in late April. A school sponsor registers the team for a regional tournament.
