Students entering 11th or 12th grade (or their first year of college) in fall 2026 spend three weeks in New Orleans combining classroom instruction in criminal law and legal research/writing with substantive job shadowing at law offices, courts, and agencies, plus tours of law schools, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and federal courts, and LSAT-prep and professional-development sessions. The program culminates in a mock legal problem: students prepare a written memorandum and deliver an oral argument. Completing the program earns a stipend of up to $250; students provide their own transportation, and optional housing near Loyola University New Orleans runs $150-240/week for those who need it.
