Kenyon Review's residential Young Writers Workshop gathers a small group of rising juniors and seniors on Kenyon's campus for two weeks of workshop-style instruction in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. A one-week online version ($995) runs the same admissions process for students who can't attend in person. Both are need-blind at admission: applicants submit a 300-word statement, a writing sample or transcript, and a recommendation, and the program says it turns away many qualified applicants each year for lack of space. Need-based aid is available and does not affect admission decisions.
