National Personal Finance Challenge

Student teams take an online 30-question Round 1 challenge on personal finance topics — income, spending, saving, investing, credit, and risk management. High-scoring teams advance to state finals, and state winners move to the National Finals, where teams build a financial plan for a fictitious family and the top 16 face off in a live quiz bowl for the championship. National Finals travel/lodging expenses (aside from transportation to the host city) are covered.
