The Governor's Honors Program gathers gifted and talented rising juniors and seniors from Georgia's public, private, and home schools for about four weeks of college-level classes, seminars, and cultural and social enrichment on a college campus, running roughly mid-June to mid-July. Students move through local nomination, then a semifinalist interview/audition round and a finalist selection round. The state covers tuition, room, and board in full — there is no cost to attend GHP; families are responsible only for travel, a few personal supplies, and spending money.
