The Meliora Visit Program (MVP), formerly the Multicultural Visitation Program, brings current U.S. high school seniors to the University of Rochester for a two-night stay hosted by a current student, with specialized programming and a concluding Preview Day. Rochester purchases tickets for approved air, train, or bus itineraries and provides rides from the Rochester airport or stations to campus, plus housing and all meals, for students who might not otherwise have the financial means to visit. Applicants submit an unofficial transcript, a signed permission slip, and two short written responses in one sitting, since the application cannot be saved and returned to.
