About 15 to 20 students each summer live on Vanderbilt's campus for six weeks conducting biomedical research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, with opportunities to interact with faculty and administrators. Housing, meals, lab supplies, and test prep are covered, and the program pays a $2,000 stipend, though students are responsible for their own travel to Nashville (needs-based travel scholarships are available). International students are welcome but must handle their own visa and travel costs. Applicants must be at least 15 with strong math and science grades and test scores.
