About 30 sophomores and juniors a year are chosen from a national pool to spend six days at a host newsroom-style camp, learning from working journalists and media executives and producing real multiplatform news packages published on JCamp Live. Open to all backgrounds regardless of race or AAJA membership; freshmen and seniors are not eligible. AAJA covers airfare, lodging, and meals in full, so there is no cost to attend. Applicants submit essays, short answers, a short video, and letters of recommendation.
