Delaware's Governor's School for Excellence brings academically and artistically talented Delaware students, between their sophomore and junior year, to the University of Delaware's Newark campus for one week. Students choose between an academic track of discussions, lectures, debates, and films built around a yearly theme, or a visual/performing arts track of tutorial instruction with a noted artist culminating in a performance or public display. Students are nominated by their school through a competitive application process.
