The Alaska Education Grant (AEG) provides need-based awards of $500 to $4,000 per year to Alaska residents enrolled at least half-time in a degree or vocational certificate program at a participating Alaska institution. Eligibility is based on financial need as measured by the FAFSA's Student Aid Index, and awards go out in order of need until funds are exhausted, so not every eligible student receives one every year. Students must file the FAFSA and reapply each year they want to be considered.
Per academic year, based on financial need; limited funds, not guaranteed year to year.
