Academic Excellence Scholarship (Penn State Schreyer Honors College)

The Academic Excellence Scholarship goes automatically to every student admitted to Penn State's Schreyer Honors College as an entering first-year student, with no separate scholarship application beyond the Schreyer admission process itself. It pays $5,300 a year and renews for up to eight semesters (about $21,200 over four years) as long as the student stays in good academic standing with the Honors College. Students apply to Schreyer through a supplemental application, due November 15, that requires an essay, short-answer prompts, and two letters of recommendation, with admission decisions released by late February.
